Everyday I Get up to See the Villain Stealing the Show 94

Han Changsheng and An Yuan rode their horses through the mountains. Only the sounds of cicadas, birds, and horseshoes beating against the path broke the silence. Han Changsheng and An Yuan didn’t speak for a long time.

After An Yuan went out with Hua Xiaoshuang the night before, his attitude towards Han Changsheng grew cold and indifferent. In fact, it wasn’t exactly enthusiastic at first, but it wasn’t as strange then as it became.

When Han Changsheng looked at the road, he always felt that he had two eyes staring at him. But when he looked back at An Yuan, An Yuan would turn his head away. When he turned his gaze back, An Yuan would stare at him again.

As if the tip of a blade was at his back, he felt awfully uncomfortable.

After a few more exchanged glances, Han Changsheng couldn’t stand it anymore. He simply turned his head and stared at An Yuan, but An Yuan didn’t speak, so neither did he.

“Ouch!”

Han Changsheng’s horse staggered, then frantically neighed and kicked wildly. Han Changsheng stared at An Yuan’s horse. He wasn’t on guard and was almost thrown under the horse’s hooves. Fortunately, he reacted quickly enough and threw himself off his horse to stand firm.

“Damn, I stepped on a trap!”

There were wild beasts on the mountain. He didn’t know who, but a hunter lost a trap there. Han Changsheng wasn’t paying attention, and his horse stepped on it.

Although he removed the trap, the horse was already injured. It laid on the ground, refusing to move.

Now Han Changsheng was in trouble. It took two days to ride a horse from there to the next nearest inn or town. He was afraid it would take half a month to walk, but his horse couldn’t be ridden anymore. What could he do?

Han Changsheng looked at An Yuan for help. Unexpectedly, An Yuan, the white-eyed wolf, gave him a beautiful, gloating smile. Then he shook his horse’s rein and slowly rode away. He didn’t care about him.

Han Changsheng: “…”

Han Changsheng hurried to catch up. “An Yuan, brother Huangfu, good brother, I can’t ride my horse.”

“Oh.” The white-eyed wolf was indifferent.

“If I can’t ride a horse, it will delay the journey for a day or two =_=#”

“Yeah.” The white-eyed wolf cleaned out his ears with the tip of a finger.

Han Changsheng said, “It looks like it’s going to rain. We have to get out of here. (╰_╯)#”

“Then I’ll go right away.” An Yuan kicked his horse in the belly as he spoke, and the horse sped up. Han Changsheng had to trot to keep up.

“Would it kill you to let me ride on your horse with you?! (╯‵□′)╯︵┻━┻” Han Changsheng couldn’t bear it and angrily said, “You really piss me off!”

An Yuan slowed down his horse and glanced at Han Changsheng with a torch-like gaze. Han Changsheng felt inexplicably guilty when he looked at him, and his grip on the horse’s rein loosened.

“You and I,” An Yuan intoned, “Don’t seem to be familiar enough to ride together.”

“…” Han Changsheng bared his teeth, a little angry. “How familiar do you need to be to ride together?” I’ve slept with you seven nights a week. How familiar do you want to be?! Of course, even thinking that, Han Changsheng didn’t dare to say it. He wouldn’t, even if he was being beaten to death.

An Yuan raised his eyebrows and enunciated every word. “You and I will have two moves. If you beat me, I will let you mount.”

It stunned Han Changsheng.

Without waiting for his consent, An Yuan grabbed his sword and flew down from the horse to stab Han Changsheng. However, he didn’t remove his sword from his sheath to prove his point.

Han Changsheng bit the bullet and gave in. In the past few days, he didn’t dare to make a move in front of An Yuan. He’d reveal his identity as soon as he did. But An Yuan invited him to fight. What did An Yuan discover? What did Hua Xiaoshuang say to him? That sly fox!

As An Yuan approached, Han Changsheng had no choice but to do everything he could. However, he still didn’t dare use his full strength. With his restraint, it was almost impossible to beat An Yuan. An Yuan seemed to be anxious, and his moves became more and more fierce. He struck Han Changsheng twice with his scabbard and refused to stop. Han Changsheng stepped back, about to retreat into the grass…

“Ah!”

An Yuan abandoned his sword to strike Han Changsheng. His movement was so sudden that Han Changsheng was startled. However, An Yuan didn’t really aim to slap him. When he approached Han Changsheng, he slowed and reached behind his ears.

Han Changsheng’s head moved to avoid An Yuan’s attack, but it still caused An Yuan to touch the skin behind Han Changsheng’s ears, where the joint between Han Changsheng’s mask and his real skin was. Although he used products that were close to the skin, he could still find the gap by carefully touching the joint between real and fake skin.

The touch wasn’t trivial. Han Changsheng slammed his feet into the ground, stepped back a few meters, and looked at An Yuan with disbelief.

But An Yuan’s face was a mix of joy and anger, unsure of what to argue. He just stared at Han Changsheng with dark, whirlpool-like, bottomless eyes.

Han Changsheng’s heart beat extremely fast. Swallowing, he spoke with a guilty heart, “What are you… What are you doing… Slapping me in the face?”

An Yuan was silent for a long time before saying, “A mistake.”

Han Changsheng’s mouth twitched.

An Yuan jumped on his horse, intending to leave. Han Changsheng hesitated to follow him, unsure whether he should step forward. However, An Yuan didn’t leave and didn’t turn his head back. “Didn’t you say it would rain soon?”

“Huh?” Han Changsheng stared at his back in a daze. After a moment, he came back to his senses and asked inconceivably, “Do you want me to mount?”

“Hurry,” An Yuan urged.

At that moment, Han Changsheng didn’t dare hurry. He approached An Yuan cautiously, fearing that An Yuan would attack his face again. However, An Yuan didn’t do so. After Han Changsheng got on the horse, he spoke coldly and tensed, then rushed out.

Han Changsheng held An Yuan’s waist and pressed his chest against his back. As they rode together on horseback, he couldn’t tell whether the beating drum was An Yuan’s or his own heartbeat.

An Yuan bit his lip in chagrin and shook the horse’s reins hard to make it run faster. He was impulsive just then, and Han Changsheng was reluctant to make a move. Recalling the grievances he had suffered in recent days and the anger of being played, he couldn’t help but make a move to expose Han Changsheng’s face. But if it was revealed, the bastard would probably run away and change his face again. He clearly wanted to be calm, and after thinking about it, he had to figure out what Han Changsheng’s real purpose was. He really wanted to see the real face behind the mask.

Although his touch just then was short, he felt the slight difference between the two skins with the tips of his fingers. He was sure that Han Changsheng’s face was fake. Li Jiulong, Hua Xiaosa, Du Fengliu, and Luo Weiwu were probably all his disguises. He didn’t know how many identities he had made along the way, and whether any minion he missed was also his incarnation? With his ability to disguise himself, he was afraid that the world couldn’t produce another with his skills!

There was a muddy road ahead, so the horse couldn’t walk too fast, and the ride wasn’t bumpy. Han Changsheng gently tightened his embrace around An Yuan. An Yuan’s scent filled his nose, which he missed very much. He couldn’t help but close his arms again and take An Yuan tighter. It felt great when he held An Yuan. If he had enough time, he hoped to hold him longer.

Han Changsheng sadly sniffled. This was as expected for a god descended to earth. The muscles, the bone, the elasticity, the body, he couldn’t find the slightest flaw. It was a pity that Qi deviation possessed him that night. If only he could be more tender and affectionate…

He reluctantly loosened his grip.

From beginning to end, An Yuan didn’t say a word. He sometimes smiled, sometimes frowned, and sometimes made angry gestures with his eyes.

Eventually, they ran into a fork in the road.

An Yuan was about to go left when Han Changsheng shouted, “Wait a minute!”

An Yuan grabbed the reins. “What’s the matter?”

Han Changsheng pointed to the road on the right, hot air from his breath filling An Yuan’s ear as he spoke, “We’d better go from there.”

An Yuan leaned forward calmly, then leaned back after a moment. “Why? We’re going back to the Yuehua Sect. It’s shorter to go from the left.”

Han Changsheng smiled dryly. “You can get to the inn and the town faster by taking the road on the right. We’ve been riding together for a day. The saddle isn’t big enough, and it hurts my butt. Let’s buy a new horse first.”

Han Changsheng couldn’t see it, but An Yuan’s face sank. He turned his horse’s head to the left. “It’s not a long day’s journey from the left. Why take the long road?”

Han Changsheng scratched his head anxiously. According to his investigation, the Jiu Xian Valley where Lu Hongua mentioned Jiu Xian Feng Lai Ren lived wasn’t far from them. The branches of the road before them could both lead to the Yuehua Sect, but it was a matter of distance. If they went the long way, then they would pass very close to the Jiu Xian Valley. He could create an opportunity to make it more likely for An Yuan to meet Jiu Xian Feng Lai Ren. If they took the shorter road, they wouldn’t pass as close to Jiu Xian Valley, and they’d have less chance to meet Jiu Xian Feng Lai Ren.

An Yuan was about to hit the road when Han Changsheng suddenly called out, “Look, there’s someone there!”

Looking toward Han Changsheng’s finger, An Yuan saw a rickety old man lying in the mud on the right side of the road. Unsure whether he was alive or dead, An Yuan was taken aback and quickly turned his horse’s head. He stomped over to the place where the old man was lying.

“Ouch…”

As they approached, they heard the old man’s groan.

Han Changsheng and An Yuan jumped off the horse and helped the old man up. “Old man, what’s wrong with you?”

“I’m sick, it hurts…”

An Yuan inspected the old man’s body and found that he was dirty, but didn’t see any injuries. He was probably ill in the viscera. He was about to take the old man’s pulse when Han Changsheng suddenly picked him up and said, “Don’t worry, old man. We’ll send you to a doctor right away.”

It startled An Yuan. “It’s okay.” Martial arts practitioners were familiar with the medical sciences. When they traveled the world, they had to have the ability to heal their wounds. He wanted to show his skills to the old man first but then thought his medical skills weren’t good enough to delay another’s illness. It was better to send the old man to see a doctor.

Han Changsheng took the old man to their horse and said, “Let’s go now, we’ll be there soon. You can bear it!”

The old man groaned on the horse.

Han Changsheng cheered in his heart: You stinky old man, you showed up just at the right moment!

An Yuan had nothing to say. They had a patient who had to walk to the town as soon as possible, so he stopped arguing and took the shorter road on the right.
