Everyday I Get up to See the Villain Stealing the Show 100

Han Changsheng rode to a small stream, then jumped off his horse to fetch some water.

The stream was very clear, reflecting him on its surface and distracting him when he saw the face on the water. An Yuan was really good-looking. Even though they’d been together for so long, sometimes when he looked at him inadvertently, he was so surprised he’d forget to turn his eyes away. In fact, Han Changsheng knew this from the beginning, but he refused to admit that there was a bastard in the world more handsome than him, and more charming, too, at the end of the day.

Han Changsheng smiled self-deprecatingly, then stretched out his fingers to touch the water’s surface, as if trying to touch the face. As soon as he did, the perfect reflection dispersed.

Since when did he like that bastard? Since that night? No, that night just made him have to face the buds that had already sprouted in his heart. It was unclear when he started feeling that way. Because of his identity with An Yuan, he’d had to strongly suppress his feelings from the beginning. Even the slightest goodwill he felt, he had to suppress, but it had always been the fastest to flourish. By the time he realized it, it was already a prairie fire, and he could no longer escape it.

“Ah!” Han Changsheng wailed in frustration, tore off the mask on his face, and plunged his face into the icy river water. He scrubbed repeatedly, leaving his face rubbed red by the time he rose again.

Han Changsheng took out his mirror and disguise kit, then turned face to face with his reflection again. This time, he took an extra-long time. After everything was ready, Han Changsheng mounted his horse and ran in the direction An Yuan had gone.

An Yuan was waiting for Han Changsheng in the town ahead, and they successfully met the next afternoon.

Seeing Han Changsheng, An Yuan asked, “Have you found what you left behind?”

Han Changsheng said, “I found it.”

An Yuan asked, “What did you leave? You didn’t even greet me. You only wrote a note and ran away in a hurry?”

Han Changsheng took out the tiger tooth dagger and handed it to him.

An Yuan was startled. “What is this?”

Han Changsheng replied, “This is what I got in the last town. I think it suits you well. I want to give it to you.”

An Yuan took the dagger and tried to scratch his sleeve. It was very sharp. He repeated, “Give it to me?”

Han Changsheng smiled and said, “We’ve known each other this long, but I never gifted you anything.”

An Yuan was silent for a while, but then accepted it. “Thank you.”

After giving him the tiger’s tooth dagger, Han Changsheng went into the inn. “Let’s not rush our journey today, we will rest instead. I bought some wine on the way, I’ll have a good respite after I drink it.”

An Yuan followed him in silence. He didn’t know why, but he felt very uneasy. Han Changsheng was acting abnormally. Although he wasn’t normal at ordinary times, his performance today was especially strange. An Yuan couldn’t say anything, but… he always felt that something was going to happen.

“Did you go to Jiuxian Valley?” An Yuan, who was walking behind Han Changsheng, suddenly asked.

Han Changsheng was taken aback. “What?”

An Yuan looked at him in silence.

Han Changsheng looked away with a guilty heart. “What would I do in Jiuxian Vallen? I really went back to the city.”

Once upon a time, An Yuan could see that some of Han Changsheng’s behaviors were not normal, as if he wanted to deliberately involve him in some incidents. When it came to destroying the Ying Yue Sect, An Yuan felt more and more intense. If someone said Han Changsheng did not deliberately set him up, he would not have believed it. Along the way, though, Han Changsheng intentionally led him towards Jiuxian Valley, as if he really hoped that he would fight against Jiu Xian Feng Lai Ren. It was hard for An Yuan not to think of what Lu Honghua said before the end of the Wulin conference.

When the two arrived at the inn, judging from the color of the sky, it was late, so they packed up and ate their meals, then got ready to rest.

Han Changsheng specially asked the waiter from the inn to deliver the wine and said, “I’m tired from traveling all these days. Today, I’ll drink wine and sleep.”

The unease in An Yuan’s heart grew more serious.

Han Changsheng poured a glass of wine for himself, and An Yuan then had a drink first. Holding his glass of wine, An Yuan took a seat at the table but didn’t drink it. He looked at Han Changsheng in silence.

He hadn’t exposed him in all this time, just to find out what Han Changsheng’s real intentions were. However, after so long, he was still puzzled. He couldn’t figure out Han Changsheng’s thoughts. As time went on, he grew more and more uneasy. However, he was still patient and didn’t say or do anything. He was worried that after exposing Han Changsheng’s identity, he would leave.

But now, he felt that Han Changsheng was growing more and more distant from him and he could hardly bear it.

An Yuan raised his glass and drank the wine.

Han Changsheng said, “After you return to the Yuehua Sect and see your younger martial brothers and sisters, what is your next plan?”

An Yuan looked up at him in a panic. “Aren’t you going with me?”

Han Changsheng nodded. “I want to go with you, but when you get there, won’t you have a plan for the future?”

An Yuan was silent for a moment, then said, “I don’t have a place to go. Although my swordsmanship is not the true succession of Elder Lan Fang, it is still from the Yuehua Sect. Now, Master Yue Peng… is no longer there, and the Yuehua Sect will be like a plate of scattered sand. I want to stay for awhile and teach them swordsmanship, at least… Let the Yuehua Sect continue on.”

Han Changsheng sighed and smiled, “You really are… A very good man. Yue Peng has harmed you like this, and you still have the Yuehua Sect in your heart.”

An Yuan gave a wry smile. “Hatred returns to hatred, kindness returns to kindness. They can’t be mixed together. Not to mention that Yue Peng got his retribution.”

Han Changsheng poured more wine for them, then licked his lips and said, “Didn’t you want to fight the demonic cult in the beginning?”

An Yuan was startled and looked at Han Changsheng with a complicated expression. After a long time, he said, “I thought it was the demonic cult who killed my father and destroyed my villa. Now the misunderstanding has been solved…”

Han Changsheng’s face suddenly froze. Motherfudger! Even if he tried his best to help An Yuan become the leader of the Wulin Alliance, that’s only half a success. According to An Yuan’s fate, he must destroy the demonic cult and uphold the right way of the Wulin. This was the completion of the calamity. If An Yuan didn’t want to attack the Tianning Cult now, wouldn’t everything he did be in vain?!

An Yuan continued, “I don’t blame the demonic cult, but… If the demonic cult continues to do evil, I cannot condone it.”

Han Changsheng said, “The demonic cult is full of evil, it should be…. Annihilated.” At that point, his scalp was numb with soreness and he finally bit the bullet and said it. Although he didn’t do his best, his affection for the Tianning Cult was not lost to anyone. He grew up on Xiushan. He drank the water and ate the food. Everyone dear to him was from the Tianning Cult. In the past, anyone who dared to speak badly about them must have regretted coming to this world. Since he was given this task by the Black and White Impermanence deities and was asked to help An Yuan destroy the cult, he tried to give up so many times, but in the end, he stuck to An Yuan’s side. It wasn’t for anything else but the people of his cult, they were more important to him than the sect itself.

Han Changsheng said, “I have some connections with the demonic cult, so I know something about it. Not all people in the demonic cult are bad people. On the contrary, there are many good people. If you saw them, you would know. Some of them were picked up when they were young, and some of them were taken there through deception. They worked for the cult not out of their own heart, but because they were coerced and lured. If it is true that there are villains in the Tianning, there is only one——the leader of the Tianning Cult!”

An Yuan looked at him in amazement. An Yuan had guessed for a long time what position Han Changsheng had in the Tianning Cult. He was certain that Han Changsheng’s status was quite high. Perhaps his true identity was quite famous in the world. An Yuan even wondered whether he was the leader of the Tianning Cult, but if a leader wandered around all day long and didn’t return for an entire year, then the demonic cult would become too unreliable. Han Changsheng mentioned more than once that he had a bad elder brother. An Yuan guessed that person should be the leader of the demonic cult, but this was the first time he pointed it out.

He didn’t know why, but An Yuan felt that Han Changsheng’s expression was heartbreaking. He couldn’t help saying, “If I can do anything for you… you can tell me.”

Han Changsheng waved his hand and drank the wine in front of him. “You can’t do what I want.”

An Yuan was naturally dissatisfied. “If you won’t tell me, how do you know?”

Han Changsheng smiled. “Drink wine, drink wine.”

After two more drinks and a meal of beef and peanuts and likely feeling tipsy from the wine, An Yuan suddenly put down his chopsticks and excitedly said, “When can you tell me the truth?”

“What if I said I hope you can go to Xiushan and destroy the cult?!”

An Yuan was stunned. After a while, he even laughed. “In terms of my current ability, I’m really not strong enough. But, if you want to, I will try to do it. I just want you to… just be honest with me.”

Han Changsheng said, “It’s not the right time for some things now. Let’s wait until that day. Drink with me today, don’t rush to get on the road tomorrow. Let’s sleep til the day and then get up again!”

Han Changsheng was really drunk today. After watching him drink one drink after another, An Yuan couldn’t help but drink with him. Before long, they were both drunk. Han Changsheng swayed as he took a wine pouch from his pack and said, “This wine… I won’t drink it today. Take it with you on the way.”

An Yuan was dizzy after drinking and shook his head.

Han Changsheng hobbled to bed and soon fell asleep. An Yuan was not as drunk as he was. He sat at the table for a while, then got up and poured himself a cup of tea, then went to bed.

Han Changsheng’s sleeping position was not even half defensive. He was helpless and breathed heavily, but his face was as white as ever——it was a mask!

An Yuan sat by the bed for a while, staring at Han Changsheng. Han Changsheng slept very comfortably. It seemed that he was very drunk. For such a long time, Han Changsheng had dozed. When he and An Yuan slept in the same bed, he would wake up when he so much as turned over. He always tried his best to turn his face into the bed and bow his body in a defensive position, but today, with his posture, anyone could take action against him!

An Yuan’s breathing gradually grew rushed. He hesitated for a while, then bit his lip and finally decided to reach behind Han Changsheng’s ear.

Usually, when Han Changsheng disguised himself, he worked carefully at the joint between the mask and his actual skin. It would be easy to find flaws if he wasn’t so careful and doubtful. But today, An Yuan just touched it lightly and immediately found the seam. His fingers stayed there, waiting for a while, but Han Changsheng still didn’t move, so he carefully uncovered Han Changsheng’s mask.

“Ah!”

As the mask separated from Han Changsheng’s face, he reached out to grab An Yuan’s wrist. Startled, An Yuan screamed out——but he’d already seen the face under the mask. It was a pretty face that he had never seen before.

In an instant, An Yuan was forced into the bed and pressed under Han Changsheng, who stole the breath from his lips. An Yuan tried to struggle, but he stopped after only a push, then put his arms around Han Changsheng’s neck. Han Changsheng closed his eyes, but An Yuan kept them open to see the face before him.

A warm hand reached into An Yuan’s clothing and walked slowly up his body. Hot breath pressed against his ear. As his skin flushed with heat, he was in a trance as he heard a soft, touching remark.

“I like you.”

I actually feel really bad for HCS since he has to convince An Yuan to destroy the Tianning Cult…

But, I can’t believe An Yuan gets to see his real face and get a confession all in one go! It’s too exciting!

Thank you for the chapter!

Stop torturing yourself, An Yuan and us readers please xD   Lol how he grudgingly recognizes AY as more handsome and charming than himself – took him long enough ~   … the mirror image fading into ripples when he touches it doesn´t seem like foreshadowing at all. No. Nope. That´s just my imagination :’)   … just keep using both of your idendities as an excuse. It won´t do you any good either… Read more »
