Everyday I Get up to See the Villain Stealing the Show 10

Han Changsheng only cared for himself and strode ahead to evade the disciples following him. Yue Yu-er trotted to keep up and shouted excitedly, “Da Shixiong! Da Shixiong!! What do you think about the Yin and Yang twins’ martial arts? Are they better than me?” “Da Shixiong, don’t go so fast, will you?!” “Can you take the Yin and Yang twins out with one stroke?”, “Da Shixiong. . .”
Her babble annoyed Han Changsheng. He wanted to call An Yuan over to take this woman away but was shocked when he turned back. An Yuan had armed himself with straw hats.
“You’re. . .”
Anyuan sighed, “You know I’m handsome.”
Han Changsheng: “. . .”
Why do you want to beat people?
Han Changsheng shook his head and continued down the mountain. Two tails followed him.
The first, moving without hesitation, was Yue Yu-er. The other was Liu Xiaoqi, but so long as Yue Yu-er was there, he remained quiet. Quiet enough that Han Chansheng practically had only one tail.
Everyone ran to Yueyang Town. It was still early, and the four teams separated. Some went into the city to patrol, and others asked the nearby people about the Yin and Yang twins.
Traces of the twins were hard to find. Few people had seen their true colors. They dressed as civilians, and it was nearly impossible to tell them from ordinary folk. However, they practiced a very evil art. When they absorbed the souls of children, it bruised their skin purple and green like that of a corpse. Their faces would turn scarlet and remain so for an hour. This was the best chance to catch them.
Their attacks were becoming more and more frequent. They needed more strength to practice, but it made them easier to find.
Han Changsheng and An Yuan led the others through the town to find out which children were missing and whether there were suspicious strangers around.
An Yuan asked a blacksmith, “Have you seen foreign visitors recently?”
The blacksmith looked around in vain then pointed into the crowd, “Those two aren’t from around here.”
Han Changsheng and An Yuan followed the man’s finger.
Han Changsheng gasped.
The pair wasn’t a man and a woman, but two young men in their twenties. One had a baby face and looked innocent and cute, the other had a gentle smile that drew others in. They exchanged words from time to time, then stepped into an inn.
An Yuan said, “Go, let’s catch up.”
Han Changsheng blocked his way. Smiling, he said, “Why bother? Let’s investigate somewhere else.”
Anyuan frowned. “They’re strangers.”
“Even if they are strangers, they’re not the Yin and Yang. We’re looking for a man and a woman.”
“They are suspicious. Even if they aren’t the Yin and Yang twins, they may know something. It is always good to ask.”
Some disciples joined them while others went toward the inn.
Han Changsheng blocked An Yuan but couldn’t stop everyone. An Yuan gave Han Changsheng a curious look and asked, “Da Shixiong, do you recognize them?”
Han Changsheng shook his head again and again. “How can I tell a stranger from a foreigner?”
He had to grit his teeth and try, anyway.
Everyone went towards the inn, catching sight of the two young men at the counter. The innkeeper saw them and immediately pushed his abacus aside. Smiling, he said, “Two guest officials, the tip is still. . .”
Boom!
The innkeeper’s voice faltered as a loud noise echoed through the lobby. The entire counter was smashed into two!
Everyone was shocked! The innkeeper’s legs went soft, and he fell to the ground. His eyes flashed with horror as his lips parted in fear.
The scholarly-looking young man was the one to split the counter with his sword. He was so fast, no one even saw him draw his weapon. A kind smile lit his face, even friendlier than before, but the tip of his sword rested against the innkeeper’s throat, under the man’s chin.
No one understood how it happened, but An Yuan had the quickest response time, drawing his sword. The baby-faced man squinted at him but didn’t react. These disciples from the Yuehua Sect were bold.
“Innkeeper,” The scholarly young man began, his tone warm enough to melt frost, “do you know where the Yin and Yang twins are?”
An Yuan: “. . . ???”
The innkeeper squatted in silence for a long while, but the tingling at his throat dragged him back to his senses. He stammered, “I—I—I——no, no. I don’t know. . .”
The baby-faced youth stared ahead and drummed his fingers. Finally, he interrupted, “Xiaobai, I told you not to be so rude. Look what you’ve done.” He grabbed the other’s hand and guided his sword aside. Then he crossed the room and squatted in front of the scared-shitless shopkeeper and held a dagger to the man’s throat. “Come now, tell us where they are hiding. Or I’ll cut off your dick, coat the wound in honey, and throw you to the fire ants.” He flung the dagger at the ground, and it struck mere inches from the innkeeper’s groin.
The innkeeper was so scared that he almost closed his eyes.
Still standing at the entrance of the inn, all the Yuehua disciples were dumbfounded. They completely forgot what they intended to do.
Han Changsheng turned his head in horror. The Tianning Cult actually sent Lu Baibi and Lu Qingqian to Yueyang Town.
The entire inn was at a stalemate. The innkeeper looked like he had been slapped in the face. For a moment, the entire room was frozen.
“Cough.” Han Changsheng coughed and broke the silence. He planned to send the disciples of Yuehua away. He didn’t expect An Yuan to step forward without fear of death.
“Brothers,” An Yuan said, holding up a fist, “May I ask what you want? Why is this innkeeper being difficult?”
Han Changsheng covered his face. This damn dog Xianjun. He saw everything too late and still had to go up!
Lu Baibi glanced over, and his smile widened. He tossed out a single word, “Leave.”
Lu Qingqian grinned and looked at him, “None of your business.”
“. . .” An Yuan said, “I am a disciple of the Yuehua, ordered by the leader to arrest the two devils, Yin and Yang. You must have a similar goal. You look so kind, but why are you so fierce to embarrass the innocent innkeeper and destroy the inn?”
For a moment, the inn was full of murderous intent. Lu Baibi and Lu Qingqian looked at each other then squinted at An Yuan. Han Changsheng was familiar with their expressions. They were improvising, considering where to start cutting An Yuan.
“Wow!” Han Changsheng ran forward and stood in front of An Yuan, then praised Lu Qingqian. “You look so cruel!”
Lu Qingqian was stunned. He touched his chin and looked pleased with himself.
Han Changsheng, angry with the expression, trembled in false horror, “This little brother smiles insidiously with such murderous intent. You’re quite terrible.”
Lu Baibi blinked and removed his hand from the hilt.
Everyone looked at the baby-faced Lu Qingqian then looked at the white and tender Lu Baibi, who looked like he doubted the world: “. . .”
Han Changsheng breathed a sigh of relief and secretly wiped at his cold sweat. Though his left and right guards seemed harmless, the Tianning Cult thought them to have the worst temper. To make himself look more ferocious, Lu Baibi worked tirelessly. Every day, he practiced in the mirror for an hour to make himself appear more sinister and vicious. Despite it, he developed a gentle smile that was favored by both men and women. Lu Qingqian, on the other hand, was mistakenly thought of as cute. . . He was offended by this Dog Lord. Han Changsheng shouldn’t offend them because there was no room for recovery. Han Changsheng, though he was capable of protecting the righteous disciples, could pack them around the dog Xianjun. But, he also had others to protect, making himself the unlucky one.
Lu Baibi and Lu Qingqian looked Han Chansheng up and down, and he felt cold sweat drip down his spine. Jade Emperor Tianwang Laozi, don’t let them see his real body! If he was caught here, all his plans would be in vain!
Lu Baibi said, “Which martial sect are you from?”
He dared not look An Yuan in the eyes. An Yuan did not understand at all.
“Cough.” Han Changsheng adopted the appearance of An Yuan’s mannerisms and cupped his fist in his other hand, a sign of respect. An upright gentleman, he said, “I am a good disciple of the Yuehua Sect, Li Jiulong.”
Lu Qingqian did not say anything as he looked him over. Finally, he turned his attention away, flustered.
Han Changsheng’s speech saved An Yuan, who said, “I don’t know how these two brothers know this innkeeper is related to the Yin and Yang.”
Lu Baibi and Lu Qingqian looked at each other.
“Idiot, who said that we know that he is related to them?” Lu Baibi said.
Lu Qingqian grinned. “En.”
“…” An Yuan said, “Why else would you treat the innkeeper this way?”
The piss-scared shopkeeper desperately nodded.
Lu Baibi touched his sword. “I have smashed through twenty-eight inns on the way here.”
Han Changsheng turned his head. I knew it!
All the Yuehua disciples: “. . .”
