Everyday I Get up to See the Villain Stealing the Show 92

The top ten, first-class hitmen of the Ying Yue Sect received a secret order from the Ying Yue Sect leader that morning and rushed to the gathering place. Once they were all together, however, the leader didn’t arrive immediately.

There was an incense burner in the vestibule. At first glance, there seemed to be no smoke from the burner, but upon further inspection, white smoke seeped out.

“Why hasn’t the headmaster come yet?” A hitman too impatient to wait asked.

Luo Ni, the tenth hitman, looked very upset that day. He lowered his head and fiddled with his nails.

“Where is your flute?” The ninth hitman asked, sitting beside him.

Taken aback, Luo Ni raised his head. “Ah, ah?”

The ninth hitman sneered. “Don’t you always bring your flute and harp with you to manipulate those animals? Why is your flute missing? Oh, and by the way, I heard that your mission a few days ago failed. You almost asked the Yunxiao Sect to kill you, didn’t you?”

Luo Ni’s expression was a bit angry. He opened his mouth to say something, then forbore it and swallowed it down.

“Then, why did the sect leader summon us all?” Someone asked.

“There should be a new task.”

“What task requires ten of us to work together?”

“I’m afraid it’s not a task. It’s been a really troubling time recently.”

“It’s all due to Lu Honghua. He has nothing to do except for come up with stupid ideas and send a lot of troubles our way.”

“It’s all mobs, don’t worry about it.”

After a while, Li Tao, the sect leader of the Ying Yue Sect, finally appeared. All the hitmen saluted him, one after the other. Luo Ni glanced at Li Tao, then quickly lowered his head, looking flustered. Fortunately, no one paid attention to him.

Li Tao sat down in the South seat and crossed his legs. Seeming to feel uncomfortable, he switched to a different leg and leaned against the back of the chair. It was still very uncomfortable.

“Sect leader, you’ve gathered us here, but what is your task?”

Li Tao took a quick sip of tea and wiped his mouth. “Naturally, there is a task and a big task, at that. I want you to kill.”

The hitmen looked at each other. It was not uncommon to kill people. The Ying Yue Sect was a hitman organization that collected money for their deeds. It was something they did every month of every year, but it was strange that Li Tao seemed so cynical.

“Who are we killing?” The first hitman asked.

Li Tao said, “There are ten people I want you to kill. Oh, no——it’s eleven, but one of them I’ve killed myself this morning. Oh, no——nine. One of them has committed himself to me, and I have promised to spare him his life.”

Hearing Li Tao’s words, the others couldn’t help but look at each other with suspicion.

“Who are they?”

With a smile, Li Tao looked back at the incense on the table and said to himself, “Time is almost up.”

A few clever hitmen moved in their hearts and suddenly realized something was wrong.

“You!” The first hitmen drew his sword abruptly but did not attack. He bowed his head and looked down at his hand incredulously.

Li Tao didn’t know whether it was a loose hand or a deliberate act. The teacup in his hand fell to the ground. Hearing a snap, two people rushed in from the door. They were Hua Xiaoshuang and An Yuan.

Li Tao, the leader of the Ying Yue Sect, was Han Changsheng in disguise. In the first seat, he slapped the table. With daggers in hand, he rushed towards the first hitman of the Ying Yue Sect. The first hitman was supposed to be an outstanding martial artist, but Han Changsheng slaughtered him like a wooden stake. A bloody shadow flashed by, and the first hitman fell straight down.

Luo Ni turned and ran out. The ninth hitman sitting next to him angrily asked, “Are you a traitor?” He shot out to catch Luo Ni, but he missed. Instead, Hua Xiaoshuang caught him as he passed. His face twisted as he fell.

Several other hitmen were shocked and drew their swords, preparing to take a stand. However, only then did they realize how little strength they had. They couldn’t use their internal power at all.

In a flash, Han Changsheng cut down all nine masters.

Each of the first-class hitmen from the Ying Yue Sect carried two tokens, one to prove his identity and the other to give orders to the second-level hitmen beneath them.

Because a hitman was a job where one’s head hung on his belt, they knew they could be alive one day but die the next. Therefore, the number of hitmen in the ranks could change. Everyone had a different identity card, but the ten tokens of the first-class hitmen would not change. Han Changsheng searched for their tokens and threw them into a bag. Luo Ni looked at them, trembling in a corner, and Han Changsheng stretched out his hand to him. He stepped back two paces in fear, only to hear Han Changsheng say, “What about yours?”

Luo Ni came to his senses and gave his token to Han Changsheng.

Han Changsheng clapped his hands and said, “I didn’t expect things to go smoothly.”

That morning, Han Changsheng sought Li Tao through Luo Ni and fought against him. Although the leader of the Ying Yue Sect had excellent martial arts, he was not Han Changsheng’s opponent and was cut off by him. Han Changsheng seized his token and summoned the other top ten hitmen from the Ying Yue Sect. Although they had a high level of high martial arts, the top ten hitmen were not useless firewood. If something happened in those hitmen’s favor, then things wouldn’t have been so good. Therefore, Han Changsheng came up with this trick. Speaking of which, it was all so easy thanks to Liu Xiaoqi.

Han Changsheng put ten muscle-relaxing incense sticks in the incense burner in advance, able to seal the internal strength of the top ten hitmen. However, those ten people had been wandering the world for a long time, and the muscle relaxing incense had its own special smell. It wasn’t easy for them to be fooled, as they carried all kinds of antidotes with them. Once they found out, the plan wouldn’t have worked, and they would have scared away the snakes.

When they were at Kunlun Mountain, Liu Xiaoqi gave Han Changsheng a special fragrance called the non-phasing muscle relaxer. It was colorless, odorless, and nontoxic. It soothed nerves and helped one sleep. However, if only that was the case, the non-phasing muscle relaxer would be very plain. The most amazing thing was that it could paralyze one’s sense of smell or neutralize the medical properties of other drugs. As long as the non-phasing muscle relaxer was lit together with other odorous things, none of the other scents would make it through. In that way, combining the two fragrances would not only mask the scent of poison but make it easier for the masters to be poisoned unconsciously.

The Ying Yue Sect had slaughtered dozens of people from Liu Xiaoqi’s sect. Though Liu Xiaoqi’s martial arts were inconvenient to perform, Han Changsheng’s move could still be regarded as indirect revenge for Liu Xiaoqi.

Hua Xiaoshuang said, “We’ve solved this trouble. The Ying Yue Sect no longer has a leader. With these tokens, the rest will dissolve, and the matter will be resolved.”

Han Changsheng nodded.

With a smile, Luo Ni said, “Then, I’ll leave first?”

Han Changsheng asked, “Do you remember what I told you?”

An Yuan and Hua Xiaoshuang both showed puzzled expressions on their faces.

Han Changsheng privately told Luo Ni that he wanted him to spread the news that An Yuan killed the leader of the Ying Yue Sect and its top ten hitmen in order to make him famous.

Luo Ni had an odd look on his face, but agreed, “I see.”

Han Changsheng said, “Go.”

Luo Ni ran out at once.

“What did you say to him?” An Yuan asked.

“Ah, nothing,” Han Changsheng replied, “Just told him to change his mind from now on and stop doing evil.”

An Yuan nodded. “As it should be.”

Hua Xiaoshuang stared at Han Changsheng’s smile.

Not daring to return Hua Xiaoshuang’s gaze, Han Changsheng said, “Let’s go quickly.”

After leaving the Ying Yue Sect, Han Changsheng gave Hua Xiaoshuang some tokens that he had just received. “These are for you, to contact the second-level hitmen. Luo Ni said last night that these will solve the problem.”

Hua Xiaoshuang took the tokens and said nothing.

Han Changsheng gave An Yuan some tokens, as well. “These are for you.”

An Yuan accepted them.

“The night is long and dreams are many,” Han Changsheng said, “Let’s hurry and finish the affairs of the Ying Yue Sect, then gather at the inn.”

Hua Xiaoshuang glanced at Han Changsheng again with a faint smile and left with the tokens.

As soon as Hua Xiaoshuang left, An Yuan also went to carry out his task. Han Changsheng watched Hua Xiaoshuang go far away, then immediately chased after An Yuan.

“Wait a minute,” Han Changsheng called to An Yuan, “Don’t worry about this, you accompany me back to the inn. I have other things to do.”

Startled, An Yuan asked, “Didn’t you just say that you had to deal with this matter first?”

Han Changsheng couldn’t help saying that. Taking him back, he said, “It’s not urgent at this moment.”

An Yuan looked at Han Changsheng. He hadn’t removed his makeup yet. He said, “The people of your sect are very good at changing faces.”

Perfunctorily, Han Changsheng said, “I learned from Hua Xiaosa.”

“If you have something that needed to be done,” An Yuan replied, “Why can’t Hua Xiaosa accompany you? Why do you want me?”

Without waiting for Han Changsheng to find excuses, An Yuan added, “You seem to want to separate me from Hua Xiaosa.”

Han Changsheng smiled stiffly. He wanted to limit the contact between An Yuan and Hua Xiaoshuang. He led Hua Xiaoshuang away because he was afraid that he would hinder his next step. Smiling, he said, “You misunderstand how things are.”

An Yuan took a long, deep look at him, but decided not to get entangled in it. He followed Han Changsheng.

Han Changsheng went to a grove of bushes and jumped in. After a while, he came out with a big wooden box and handed it to An Yuan. “You can hold this for me.”

An Yuan asked, “What is this?”

“After a while, you will know,” Han Changsheng said, “In short, it is useful. You can have it.”

An Yuan hefted it upwards. It wasn’t too heavy, so he hugged the box in his arms.

Afterwards, Han Changsheng led An Yuan into the city and pointed to a teahouse. He said, “Go inside and wait for me. I’ll go back and change my clothes and wash my face. Then, you can accompany me to do my business.”

An Yuan had no comment on that.

When Han Changsheng left, An Yuan entered the teahouse alone but was stunned as soon as he entered. The teahouse was full of Wulin members. The Yunxiao Sect members from the night before were there, as well.

As soon as An Yuan entered, everyone’s eyes were drawn to him. An Yuan immediately took off his straw hat from his back and covered his face with it. He found a remote place to sit and waited for Han Changsheng there.

“Tsk.” Someone sneered disdainfully. “Putting on airs.”

Naturally, some people were fascinated by An Yua’s appearance and stared at him desperately, wanting to see more of his peerless appearance from under the veil.

The teahouse was noisy, and everyone wore an impatient expression on their face as they whispered to those around them.

“Do you think the Ying Yue Sect is playing tricks on us?”

“Yes, I find it strange. This morning, I suddenly received news that people from the Ying Yue Sect would come here today, but you can see how many people from the Wulin gathered here. It seems they’ve all come for the Ying Yue Sect. Will the Ying Yue Sect dare to show up?”

“Isn’t this a trap? The hitmen from the Ying Yue Sect gathered us Wulin members together so that we can do something?”

“No, they have such courage? There are dozens of people here. How could they do something?”

“Could they have poison somewhere?”

“We didn’t dare eat anything in the teahouse, and we used some refreshing medicine. We didn’t smell any fragrance anywhere. Where could we be poisoned?”

“In a word, it’s very strange.”

While everyone was anxious, a young man wearing the Yunxiao Sect’s uniform came in through the back door of the teahouse. When the young disciple came to where the Yunxiao Sect was sitting, the short one with the pockmarked face said, “Younger martial brother, where have you been? I haven’t seen you since this morning.”

“I didn’t feel well this morning,” He said with a smile.

The short guy sneered and said nothing more.

This “younger martial brother” was, of course, Han Changsheng. He put in a lot of effort to set up the day’s game. He released the news and gathered the Wulin members who came to the Ying Yue Sect in Sichuan to witness it. Han Changsheng dealt with the young disciple of the Yunxiao Sect that morning before he left the inn. When he woke up, he’d be confused and wouldn’t know what he did or didn’t do. After that, Han Changsheng set up a plan to send off Hua Xiaoshuang and lead An Yuan here, along with the wooden box in his hands. It was Han Changsheng who set up a good game.

“Masters, senior brothers, isn’t that An Yuan, from the Yuehua Sect?” Han Changsheng pinched his throat and pointed to An Yuan.

Everyone from the Yunxiao Sect looked at him with a grim expression. “No matter what he does, he is alone, and he can’t afford any storms.”

“By the way,” The short, pockmarked one said, “Why didn’t Li Jiulong stay with him?”

Han Changsheng coughed. “That wooden box in his arms seems weird. Is it dripping blood?”

It shocked everyone when he spoke.

“Blood? I don’t see it.”

“It looks a little red. What’s in it?”

“I’ll go find out,” Han Changsheng said.

The wooden box was placed on the table as An Yuan looked absently at the door, waiting for Han Changsheng to appear. Inadvertently, Han Changsheng, dressed up as a young disciple of the Yunxiao Sect, appeared at his table.

The newcomer wasn’t good. An Yuan sensed that the disciple seemed to be coming towards him and turned around to look at him with vigilance. Han Changsheng walked in front of An Yuan and stumbled to his feet. “Ouch!”

An Yuan hurried to help him but saw his arm extend and sweep the wooden box to the ground.

“Ah!!”

Suddenly, there were screams.

A head rolled out of the box. Alongside it was a bloody wooden card engraved with shadow characters.

An Yuan was shocked to see a human head fall out of the box, but he quickly calmed. There was no doubt that the head belonged to Li Tao, the leader of the Ying Yue Sect.

For a moment, the sounds of swords being drawn from their scabbards filled the air. All the Wulin members in the tea house couldn’t sit still, each of them looked around covetously. As the leader of the hitmen, Li Tao appeared and disappeared. Of course, it was impossible for too many people to know him. But, suddenly, a man arrived there with his head. Of course, it was very suspicious.

Han Changsheng picked up the wooden sign engraved with the words hateful eyes and quick hands and said, “What is this? Is it from the Ying Yue Sect?”

The entire place was silent in shock.

A Wulin member who met An Yuan at the Wulin Assembly asked, “Are you Huangfu An Yuan from Tianyuan Villa? Whose head is this?”

An Yuan sighed and said, “It’s Li Tao, the leader of the Ying Yue Sect.”

There was an uproar all around!

“The Ying Yue Sect leader? He killed the leader of the Ying Yue Sect?”

“The boy actually beat us to it!”

“Let me have a look at the sign… Yes, it’s really from the Ying Yue Sect! An old friend of mine was killed by the Ying Yue Sect, I have seen their signs.”

Han Changsheng was afraid that the world wouldn’t grow chaotic enough and cried out, “Huangfu Anyuan killed the master of the Ying Yue Sect! Huangfu Anyuan killed the leader of the Ying Yue Sect!”

The teahouse was completely boiling. People scolded, chagrined, and praised. An Yuan was surrounded by the crowd, but no one could see his expression under his veil.

Han Changsheng cheered in his heart. It was done! It was finally done! There was nothing wrong this time, An Yuan won the credit. His wise strategy was perfect!

I think with a last paragraph like that, something is definitely going to go wrong haha. Nice try though, HCS… (He’s so cute with how proud he is of himself, though).

Thank you for the chapter! I hope you have a wonderful New Year!

… So, who´s the leader of the Ying Yue sect? Is it the old man? Or was it done via HCS?   Is it a sleeping or hallucinogeic agent?   Because the headmaster probably won´t come ~   Well, I do want to know why you look upst, when you were probably one of the people who made that plan >.>   … does hcs have your flute?   The ninth hitman doesn´t seem like a decent person, but what do you expect from a hitman? Not a decent personality for what it´s worth   Good question! Next question.  … Read more »

Why do I feel like HCS is like a parent that tricks their kid into going to math camp even after they said they’re not interested, “I’m only doing what’s best for you honey. Have fun at math camp!”
Anyway, thanks for the chapter!
