Everyday I Get up to See the Villain Stealing the Show 79
by Empress · September 24, 2020
In the twinkling of an eye, the Wulin Assembly began.
Han Changsheng rose before dawn. The first thing he did after he got up was nothing other than seal An Yuan’s sleeping acupoints to make him continue sleeping.
Sitting down at the table, he carefully put on layers of makeup before the mirror, then carefully took the Longyin sword from the package where it was hidden. He sat back on the bed, then, and just looked at An Yuan, who was still out cold.
After a few days, Han Changsheng finally came up with a plan that he thought was comprehensive. He could expose Yue Peng as a hypocrite in front of the whole Wulin and help An Yuan become famous. It was like killing two birds with one stone. After making sure that An Yuan wouldn’t wake up, Han Changsheng put on a straw hat veil and went out with the Longyin sword.
As soon as Han Changsheng left, An Yuan slowly opened his eyes.
This was the first day of the official opening of the Wulin Conference. Excited for the event, he slept lightly. As soon as Han Changsheng turned over, he woke up. To his surprise, Han Changsheng actually sealed his acupoints. He subconsciously closed his acupoints and secretly foiled Han Changsheng’s plans. Curious, he kept pretending to sleep.
What was Han Changsheng’s plan? Didn’t he want him to attend the Wulin Assembly? Why? Puzzled, An Yuan put on his straw hat veil and quickly went out.
On the first day of the Wulin Assembly, there were no formal activities. Heroes from all over the world would gather on the mountain. The leader of the Wulin would make a speech, looking back at the past and forward to the future. Then, a few dignified leaders would speak a few words of their own, that the members should get to know each other, cultivate their feelings, and discuss plans for common development. All of that would happen almost within a day. In the next few days, the competitions would take place.
When Han Changsheng arrived at the mountain, many people gathered within sight, filling his ears with accents from across the globe.
“Oh, my god, I’m so old… Don’t step on my feet, you’re blind! Believe it or not, I will smoke you!”
“Little red man, stand up and don’t move. Just like a monkey, don’t collapse my platform.”
“So, that’s it? What is this?”
“Hello, I am the sect head of the Zhiyong Sect…No, not Jiyong, Zhi as in zhidao (knowledge) and Yong like Rong Yao (glory).”
Han Changsheng stretched his neck to look for a trace of Yue Peng. Standing beside Han Changsheng, a boy from Hunan prodded him. When Han Changsheng looked down, he smiled kindly back up at him. “Oh, this is the first time I’ve seen someone from northeast China. What sect are you from?”
Han Changsheng opened his mouth, but he suddenly didn’t know whether to lay his tongue flat or to roll it. Staring blankly, he was speechless.
At that time, the Wulin Alliance leader, Honghua, finally appeared.
As soon as Honghua appeared, the noisy venue grew silent. Just then, Han Changsheng found the place where Yue Peng stood. He pulled his straw hat lower.
Standing on the stage, Honghua looked at all the heroes in the Wulin. With a satisfied smile, he cleared his throat and said, “It’s really a great event in the Wulin for all the Wulin members to gather here today. I’d like to thank all the heroes!”
Cheering broke out beneath the stage. Han Changsheng could only stare at Yue Peng. Because the first day of the Wulin Assembly took place on the stage, some younger disciples who came with the leaders didn’t attend. They practiced their martial arts to prepare for the challenge arena and to meet with friends who also practiced martial arts in the next few days.
However, almost all the respectable elders in the Wulin had gathered that day. Unlike the young disciples, they were unlikely to attend the competitions in the coming days.
Yue Peng stood amongst the leaders of several sword sects. While Honghua spoke on stage, they traded words beneath it. However, they were all seemingly close to each other and secretly competed amongst themselves.
Honghua said, “Looking forward to the development of our Wulin in the next three years, you can say that it will be full of vigor and vitality. Compared with the previous three years, many rookies have joined our team to maintain the prosperity of the entire Wulin. Congratulations. In the next three years…”
Han Changsheng impatiently turned away his ear. Lu Wenlin’s father was full of nonsense. He didn’t notice that, unconsciously, another guy in a straw hat also filtered into the meeting hall. Quietly, he came to stand not far behind him, observing his every move from the darkness.
Honghua’s nonsense finished quickly, and then it was time for several respected leaders to speak.
Although the Yuehua Sect was one of the top ten sword sects, it ranked last. After Elder Lan Fang retired, the Yuehua Sect no longer had a link to the others. However, this year, the disciples of the Yuehua Sect attacked the Yin and Yang Sha twins inside the Wulin. It could be said that they were in a strong position. Yue Peng hadn’t been given the opportunity to speak for a long time, but now was his chance.
First, the leader of the Yunxiao Sect came to the stage to speak. After he stepped down, it was Yue Peng’s turn. Yue Peng walked up to the stage with his head held high and looked over all the heroes in the world. He let out a lot of evil spirits that had accumulated in his chest for several years. He’d been waiting for the opportunity for over ten years. Today, he finally had a chance to stand on stage.
This was just the beginning.
From now on, he, the leader of the Yuehua Sect, would surely make people look upon him with great admiration. When people mentioned the Yuehua Sect, they’d no longer think of Elder Lan Fang!
“I…”
“Yue Peng, you old thief! Today is the day we take revenge on you!”
Yue Peng had said but a single, impassioned word when he was interrupted. A man with a straw hat used his lightness skill to fly to the stage. A cold light flashed from his hand, and a treasured sword pointed right at Yue Peng.
All the heroes in the field were shocked by the sudden occurrence, and after a moment, the room filled with noise.
“Who is this man? Why is he wearing a straw hat?” “Is it Leader Yue’s enemy?” “The sword in his hand seems to be…”
Yue Peng stared at the sword in the man’s hand and said, “Longyin sword? You?!”
It was none other than Han Changsheng. As soon as he lifted the straw hat from his head, Yue Peng could see his face clearly.
His pupils violently contracted.
“Tugen?” He called, his voice hoarse.
At the same time, another young man in a straw hat took a cold sweat and said, “Dad?”
Han Changsheng’s disguise that day wasn’t like any he’d done before. He was none other than Huangfu Tugen, who had been dead for 15 years. He asked the little stinky egg to show him Huangfu Tugen’s appearance by magic, then used his superb face-changing technique to capture his appearance for himself. Not only that, but he put a lot of effort into his face today. Under Huangfu Tugen’s face was the face of another– An Yuan. When everything was done, he would take off the first mask and reveal the second. That’s why he sealed An Yuan’s sleeping points.
Han Changsheng glared fiercely at Yue Peng and spoke sharply, “Old thief Yue! Fifteen years ago, in order to steal the secret script of the Tianyuan Mountain Villa, you attacked me behind my back. You seriously injured me and cheated my son into taking the thief as his father. You tried to take the second half of the secret script that I burned from An Yuan’s mouth! What you did not expect is that I haven’t died. I devoted myself to recuperation and cultivation in the last fifteen years to find you and seek revenge!”
“Today is the day of your execution!”
More noise broke out beneath the stage. Originally, when it was Yue Peng’s turn to speak, this person came on stage to make trouble. The Wulin members arranged by Honghua to maintain order planned to drag the troublemaker from the stage. After hearing this, though, they hesitated. Honghua made a gesture to stop them, ready to hear what the uninvited guest had to say.
Some older Wulin members in the audience recognized Han Changsheng’s disguise as Huangfu Tugen. It surprised them. “He is Huangfu Tugen! God, he isn’t dead?”
Immediately flustered, Yue Peng soon calmed down and rebuked, “You’re made of nonsense! Who on earth are you? Why do you pretend to be brother Huangfu and try to blame me? Everyone knows that Huangfu Tugen and I are brothers. He was assassinated fifteen years ago, and I’ve been investigating the case ever since! I personally examined the corpse, placed incense on his grave, and for so many years I’ve regarded his son as my own!”
“The Longyin sword in your hand was stolen from the Yuehua Sect. Are you the murderer who killed Elder Lan Fang and Old Man Xuanji?”
Hearing their conflicting stories, Honghua came to the stage and said, “Brother, today is the opening day of the Wulin Conference. I don’t know what’s wrong with you. It’s better to step down with me and let me, the leader of the Wulin, come preside over the meeting. I will certainly give you justice, but don’t delay the schedule of the meeting.”
Han Changsheng sneered and said, “I’m going to ask all the heroes present to testify for me and expose the true face of the thief!”
Yue Peng immediately said, “Leader, don’t listen to his nonsense. He is a fake. He can’t be Huangfu Tugen. He clearly has a grudge against our Yuehua Sect. He killed our elders, robbed our sword, and wanted to kill me, the leader’s prestige, on the first day of the Wulin Assembly! Don’t fall into his tricks!”
Honghua frowned and said, “In a few words, please follow me first…”
Han Changsheng didn’t listen to them. He moved to attack Yue Peng with his sword!
At the exact same time, Yue Peng gave in. He drew his sword and went to meet Han Changsheng, shouting, “Thief! Today, I will avenge Elder Lan Fang!”
Seeing the two start to fight onstage, the crowd below suddenly rose and moved like a pot of boiling porridge. Some wanted to take to the stage to stop the fight from destroying the conference hall. Others stopped those who wanted to stop them, gloating as they hoped to see the skill of the Yuehua Sect. After all, the Yuehua Sect’s capture of the Yin and Yang Sha Twins made the other sects very excited.
But, Honghua was the leader of the Wulin. He had to preside over the order of the Wulin Assembly. Now, he wanted to stop them, but he was held back. He looked back to see that Lu Wenlin held him. Lu Wenlin stared at Han Changsheng’s Longyin sword and said, “Dad, let them fight!”
Honghua shook his head. “Mischief, nonsense!”
Lu Wenlin held him tighter.
Onstage, the moment Yue Peng and Han Changsheng crossed each other shocked Yue Peng. The man’s internal power was far above his own. He was afraid he wasn’t his opponent! Was he really the man who drained Old Man Xuanji’s internal power?!
With only one move, Yue Peng was beaten. He staggered back two steps. When he faltered, he panicked that Han Changsheng would kill him. He immediately called for help, “Come on, take this traitor!”
However, Han Changsheng didn’t take advantage of the victory to pursue. He waited until Yue Peng stood firm, only to come at him with the second strike of his sword.
Beneath the stage, An Yuan’s hand slowly grasped his own sword. He had already guessed Han Changsheng’s plan. If Han Changsheng would do as he thought, he must have been fully aware of what happened. The reason Han Changsheng sealed his sleeping points that morning was probably that he realized his impatience to rid the world of Yue Peng. After all, it was fifteen years of nurturing grace. In fact, he doubted Yue Peng before, but subconsciously hoped it wasn’t him. But if… if the murderer from fifteen years ago was really Yue Peng… It meant the Yuehua Sect master had cheated him for fifteen years.

HCS gonna make him show the skills he couldn’t possibly know??
thanks for the chapter!
Good guess!! 😉
<3
After the dramatic revelations from last chapter, the first thing HCs does is make AY sleep – this is somehow extremely anticlimatic xD But he does his makeup and takes the sword who did he dress up as? Probably not the teacher-persona, so it´s either as An Yuan himself (which would be the most probable), the fake first disciple or a new identity. We´ll see. I´m kind of stoked to see, what his plan of action is this time around >.> He totally dressed up as AY, didn`t he? I can practicaööy smell the drama xD And of… Read more »
