Everyday I Get up to See the Villain Stealing the Show 101

An Yuan fell asleep and did not wake until late afternoon. It was only when the sun shone into the room and hit An Yuan’s face that he finally turned over with his hand across his eyes. Although he was awake, he had tossed and rolled the whole night. His waist was sore and his legs were weak, his whole body was exhausted. He didn’t open his eyes and continued to rest, but reached out and touched the bed beside him. No one was there.
After a while, An Yuan opened his eyes.
The weather was very good, though the sun was dazzling. An Yuan squinted for a while before he could finally see what was in front of him. His eyes were so sour that he couldn’t help but close them immediately.
This was the second time. After a night of indulgence, he disappeared for the second time in the early morning of the next day, as if the absurdity of the night before was all in his dreams. The words, “I like you,” still rang in his ears.
After a long while, An Yuan got up from the bed. He touched his hair, where a hairpin rested in his bun. Han Changsheng had placed it there when he was about to fall asleep the night before. He took it off and saw that it was in the shape of a flower, like a token of love for a girl.
An Yuan took a deep breath, resisting the urge to break the hairpin, and went to the table.
Han Changsheng’s luggage was gone, but what was better than the first time was a note left behind.
“I have something important to do. I will go ahead and see you next March on Kunlun Mountain. What I said is not drunken nonsense, but my sincere confession. Take care. I hope to meet you again soon.”
An Yuan had no expression on his face. After a while, he suddenly crumpled the note into a ball. He held it up high, threatening to throw it down.
“I, I, you…” Rare, vulgar words clung to his lips, and he suddenly found that after more than a year together, he didn’t even know Han Changsheng’s real name. Hua Xiaosa? Du Fengliu? Luo Weiwu?
“…Asshole!” An Yuan cursed, putting his hand down dejectedly. He carefully unfolded the note, then folded it neatly and put it into his pocket. Good. If he didn’t get revenge, he wasn’t human!
At the same time, Han Changsheng rode his horse down the path. The night before, he couldn’t help but indulge a bit. After An Yuan fainted, he packed his bags and left without sleep. Presumably, An Yuan’s waist was very sore, and he had weak legs, himself. The sun was too bright, so Han Changsheng stopped his horse and sat down in the shade of a tree to have a rest. He felt listless.
Taking out a mirror, he looked at his reflection——it was Gu Mingxiao’s face.
Han Changsheng smiled, then reached under his ear to carefully tear off his mask. The disguise faded, finally revealing his true face.
Han Changsheng touched his face and said sourly, “Obviously my real face is too handsome.” He thought narcissistically that the current An Yuan was too difficult for him to control. If An Yuan saw his true face, he might as well be extremely confused.
After thinking about it, Han Changsheng gave a long sigh, washed his face with water from his water pouch, and jumped back on his horse. He continued on the road.
A month later, Han Changsheng rushed back to the foot of Xiushan.
Although Han Changsheng used to run away all the time, this was the first time he had been away for so long. He wanted to think of Xiushan and dreamed about its flowers and plants. Now, he had finally returned. He was so excited that his eyes filled with tears. He had the impulse to run three laps on the mountain and shout that I, Han Changsheng, have returned!
Han Changsheng ran anxiously up the mountain. When the Tianning Sect members at the foot of the mountain saw him, they gave him one salute after the other. He didn’t care and ran past them to the top of the mountain.
“Oh, who is this, who dares to break into Xiushan?”
When Han Changsheng ran across the training ground halfway up the mountain, he suddenly heard sour sarcasm from behind him. He looked back and happily cried, “Xiaoshuang!”
Hua Xiaoshuang crossed his arms over his chest and sneered. “Who’s Xiaoshuang? My name is Hua Xiaosa.”
Han Changsheng smirked.
Hua Xiaoshuang raised his eyebrows and asked, “What are you doing back?”
Han Changsheng said happily, “Of course, I’m back to be the leader!”
Hua Xiaoshuang licked his lips, making things difficult on purpose. “The leader? But, you have been away for a year and no one was in charge of the cult. After discussion with the elders, we have already chosen another leader.”
Han Changsheng’s smile froze on his face like a bolt of lightning struck from the blue. Are you kidding me?! The leader changed hands?! Then, all those things I’ve done, waiting to be killed by An Yuan, were all in vain?!
However, seeing the curve of Hua Xiaoshuang’s lips grow more and more severe, Han Changsheng suddenly came to his senses——he’d been fooled!
“Okay, you!” Han Changsheng ran to wring Hua Xiaoshuang’s neck, “You bastard! You dare lie to the cult leader?! See if I don’t kick your butt!”
Finally, Hua Xiaoshuang couldn’t help but smile and open his arms to embrace Han Changsheng. Han Changsheng was about to subconsciously leap into his arms, but suddenly remembered something stifling. With a cold expression, he pushed Hua Xiaoshuang away. “The leader has been on the road and has worked hard. Get me some bathwater. I’ll punish you for your crime of deceit next time.”
Hua Xiaoshuang tilted his head in confusion. Han Changsheng’s attitude was very strange. In the past, he never had the air of a cult leader. He wouldn’t even mention punishment as a joke. Was it because he was away for so long that his thoughts had changed? But he encountered him not long ago, and at that time he was still the bastard he loved and hated, without putting on airs.
Han Changsheng turned away with a guilty conscience. He didn’t speak to Hua Xiaoshuang anymore and continued walking up the mountain.
After such a long journey, Han Changsheng was exhausted. When several hall leaders heard the news of his return, they all rushed to see him. Unexpectedly, they found a closed door——he had an excuse to rest, so none of them could see him.
Soon, the bath was ready. Han Changsheng jumped into the tub and buried his face under the water. The hot water made him relax, taking the strain and exhaustion of many days with it. He wanted to hide in it and never return. Suddenly, he heard the sound of a gurgling conversation outside. He startled from the tub and saw Lu Qingqian and Lu Baibi standing at its edge, looking over him.
It shocked Han Changsheng. “Who let you in?” He almost forgot that he might be able to forbid the hall leaders from entering, but Lu Qingqian and Lu Baibi, who grew up bare-assed with him since childhood, could not be stopped. They were neither hotheaded nor impulsive, but they could cause all kinds of ruckus if they wanted.
Lu Baibi said, “Master, have insects bitten you on your back? Why are there red spots?”
Han Changsheng covered them with his hand and scratched, and didn’t care much. When he was on the road, he stayed in the wilderness, so inevitably, that he’d be bitten by insects. Displeased, he said, “Didn’t I tell you not to come in?”
The two Dharma protectors didn’t seem to hear Han Changsheng’s words. Instead of going out, they sat on the edge of the bathtub.
“Leader, leader,” Lu Qingqian said excitedly, “Have you finished your big plan~~~~ after you’ve been out for so long?”
Han Changsheng gave a dull hum.
“Come on, come on, what’s the big plan?” Lu Qingqian asked impatiently. Lu Baibi also stared at Han Changsheng with bright eyes.
“Well…,” Han Changsheng said, “I’ve developed some forces outside. After a while, I will probably send you out to help me, then you will know.”
Lu Qingqian and Lu Baibi were disappointed. “Can’t you just say it now?”
“Get off,” Han Changsheng said, kicking his feet to splash his bathwater on the two guardians. “I’m going to rest, I don’t want to see you!”
Lu Qingqian and Lu Baibi looked at each other aggrievedly, then turned to leave.
Han Changsheng soaked in the bath until the water was cold, then jumped out and went to bed.
He slept until it was getting dark, then woke up. Han Changsheng had just changed his clothes when he heard someone outside call, “Leader, Hall Master Gu came to ask if you were awake.”
Han Changsheng thought for a while, then said, “Please tell him to come in.”
After a while, Gu Mingxiao entered.
“Leader.”
Gu Mingxiao was about to speak, but Han Changsheng interrupted him. “Don’t worry.” Han Changsheng sat at his table and stretched his legs, and put his feet on the table, barefoot. “This leader has been working so hard. You can help me fix my toenails first.”
Just before Gu Mingxiao came in, Han Changsheng purposely wiped his saliva on them and ran around barefoot on the ground. At the moment, his feet were dark with dirt and smelly.
Gu Mingxiao’s face changed.
Gu Mingxiao had always been obsessed with cleanliness. He didn’t complain when his cats peed and pooped, but if they were a little bit unclean, he’d hate it. He was several years older than Han Changsheng. When he was a child, he could not stand Han Changsheng’s mischief, because he was always covered in mud. He took on the task of washing Han Changsheng’s face. Every time he helped Han Changsheng wash his face, he practically rubbed off a layer of skin. Later, Han Changsheng had to check whether there was mud under his fingernails before he met him, to avoid getting a bad hand.
Gu Mingxiao stared at his black feet, and his face shifted like a rainbow. Han Changsheng still overindulgently put his feet in front of Gu Mingxiao’s eyes, and Gu Mingxiao took two steps back like he was avoiding the plague. He forgot what he came here to say.
“Cut my toenails,” Han Changsheng continued to tease him.
Gu Mingxiao turned around to look for clippers.
Han Changsheng angrily retracted his feet. He was joking, but he was afraid Gu Mingxiao would cut off his feet in a blind rage.
“What do you want from me?” Han Changsheng asked, picking his nose.
Just as Gu Mingxiao opened his mouth, Han Changsheng flicked his fingernail. The nasal excrement flicked right into Gu Mingxiao’s mouth.
“!a#¥%&*” Gu Mingxiao went crazy in that instant and ran to the door to spit it out!!
“I’ll go and see if the food is ready.” Han Changsheng got up and stepped out. When he passed Gu Mingxiao, he patted him sympathetically on the shoulder. Gu Mingxiao gave him a vicious look, then ran into the room and rinsed his mouth with tea.
Han Changsheng turned his back to Gu Mingxiao and silently laughed. He’d been eating the vinegar of those cats for a long time and wanted to make trouble for Gu Mingxiao for ages, but he didn’t have the guts before. Now he finally succeeded. It was really refreshing. However, after the coolness of the moment passed, he couldn’t laugh anymore. Suddenly, he felt a little sad and rushed to the kitchen.
Han Changsheng asked the chef, “Is dinner ready?”
The chef replied, “Leader, the dinner was cooked a long time ago. Several hall masters were waiting for you to wake up and have dinner.” On weekdays, Han Changsheng and the two Dharma protectors, and the four hall masters all ate together. Today, since he was back, they naturally waited for him so they could eat together.
Han Changsheng glanced at the dishes on the stove, dissatisfied. He said, “No way, no way! Cook the dinner again, do as I say!”

Ah, I should’ve known, he tricked An Yuan again… HCS is pretty scummy ^^; Somehow it’s rather endearing. I guess it’s because he really does like An Yuan. His grossness isn’t endearing at all, though! Poor Gu Mingxiao… I would have died on the spot if someone flicked a booger in my mouth, especially on purpose o.o Thank you for the chapter!
He left a note, at least! I feel like he’s really torn up about An Yuan’s fate– he’s obligated to help fulfill it, even though he’s fallen for him. It’s kind of heartbreaking if you think about it, which sucks because this is supposed to be a comedy! 🙁
I hope things pan out for these two…
It is a little heartbreaking… this story is so silly and cute, though! I believe it will have a happy ending (I hope…) I get the feeling An Yuan couldn’t bring himself to kill HCS… Unless he gets tired of HCS always running away the morning after a night of passion lol.
I wonder if AY will feel tricked and manipulated by HCS when he finally finds out his true identity and that he is supposed to kill him.
HCS left a note this time but it still sucks D:
And the last part was.. just disgusting x__x Why did you do that HCS? Well…. now I remembered the wine x socks accident, urgh… >___>
Thx for the ch ٩(。˃ ᵕ ˂ )و
Knew it.
His face and truth will only be revealed AFTER he completes his assignment, ie his death.
Damn, that is going fvck up Lord An Yuan big time. That’s a big tribulation.
