Evening fell, and the brilliant sunshine, with all the liveliness and vitality of afternoon heat, faded into darkness.<\/p>

The cry of cicadas filled the stuffy air along the Spree River. Sitting in the passenger\u2019s seat, Qi Mu recalled Akkad\u2019s words.<\/p>

Min Chen and Akkad held a private conversation for three hours. Though he didn\u2019t know its content, he wasn\u2019t curious. Since they didn\u2019t say anything, they had to have a reason. When the time came, maybe he would know.\u00a0<\/p>

Min Chen had just told Qi Mu about his visit to Farrell\u2019s house, and their time in the study. They had discussed at length how to get Akkad to agree to their relationship, as well as Farrell\u2019s latest composition.\u00a0<\/p>

Although Min Chen\u2019s expression read, \u201cJust talked about his composition,\u201d Qi Mu felt… it wasn\u2019t that casual for Farrell.<\/p>

But, that didn\u2019t matter, since it had already happened. Now, though… He was returning to Paris.<\/p>

Qi Mu turned to the man whose gaze was fixed on the road. He frowned, heart reluctant.<\/p>

When Min Chen first brought him to Berlin, Qi Mu wanted to refuse. Now that they were going to separate, Qi Mu felt… the time they spent together was too short.<\/p>

He only came to the city the day before, and he was already leaving.\u00a0<\/p>

The youth\u2019s lovely face was filled with loss, and Qi Mu kept his head down. He gazed at the ground, not focusing on anything until he felt warmth on the back of his hand. He looked at it in surprise, finding Min Chen\u2019s distinct knuckles. Though his fingers were thin, they were powerful from years of playing.<\/p>

Qi Mu\u2019s gaze followed the hand to his arm and up, only to find the man looking down at him with tenderness.<\/p>

\u201cWhen you get back to Paris… Contact me more.\u201d<\/p>

The car stopped in front of Tegel Airport. Its tinted windows prevented anyone from peering inside.<\/p>

When Akkad saw their complicated expressions, he self-consciously excused himself, \u201cI\u2019ll get off and take my luggage first.\u201d Opening the door, he slipped away, leaving them alone.<\/p>

Only Min Chen and Qi Mu were left in the car.<\/p>

Each moment spanned for hours. Nodding, Qi Mu gently said, \u201cWell, I\u2019ll take time… and contact you more. Paris isn\u2019t that far away.\u201d To ease their parting, Qi Mu added, \u201cYou see, Paris and Berlin aren\u2019t as far as B City and S City.\u201d\u00a0<\/p>

\u201cI\u2019ll miss you.\u201d<\/p>

With just those three words, Qi Mu\u2019s throat contracted, and his words froze in place.<\/p>

Min Chen\u2019s skin was hot, and his heat surged up the back of his hand into his veins and directly to his heart. It burned in his chest as his pulse sped up.<\/p>

Qi Mu didn\u2019t know how to reply. The man had reached some sort of consensus with Akkad. Now that he was saying such stimulating words, Qi Mu don\u2019t know what to do.<\/p>

Finally, Qi Mu squeezed his fingers. He chuckled, \u201cI\u2019ll go help professor with his luggage. It\u2019s too much for him alone.\u201d Qi Mu started to turn away, his hand on the doorknob.\u00a0<\/p>

The moment he turned, Min Chen\u2019s low voice called\u2014\u2014\u201dQi Mu.\u201d<\/p>

Turning around, Qi Mu whispered, \u201cYes, what… Umph…\u201d<\/p>

Their lips met. Involuntarily, his mouth parted and the the tip of the man\u2019s tongue swept inside.<\/p>

Seatbelt already unfastened, Min Chen leaned in and pressed his beloved against the door. He held Qi Mu\u2019s waist in one hand and the back of his head with the other, locking him in place.<\/p>

Somehow, this one-sided kiss became an elusive dance, impossible to separate.<\/p>

Their lips and tongues twisted together, ambiguity filling the car. Min Chen held the youth firmly in his arms, and Qi Mu too earnestly responded to the kiss.<\/p>

By its end, Qi Mu was breathless, and his dazed expression drew Min Chen even closer. They clutched each other close for a long time, foreheads touching and gasping for breath.<\/p>

\u201cWill you miss me…\u201d<\/p>

Qi Mu lifted his gaze. The man\u2019s dark eyes were locked on his, gazing at him in hesitation. It felt as if Min Chen was close to giving up whatever decision he had made to keep him here.\u00a0<\/p>

His breath slowly evened out, but Qi Mu didn\u2019t answer. Instead, he asked, \u201cWill you miss me?\u201d<\/p>

Min Chen smiled. \u201cI will… I really will.\u201d<\/p>

Qi Mu smiled, too, eyes pinched closed. \u201cThen, me too… I will also really miss you.\u201d<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

The words \u201cI will really miss you\u201d made Qi Mu smile all the way onto the plane. Even at the security check, he couldn\u2019t stop himself from turning back, never hiding his reluctance to leave the man behind.<\/p>

Akkad, who had been a single dog for years: \u201c…\u201d<\/p>

After the plane landed at Charles de Gaulle Airport, Akkad went to the parking lot with Qi Mu at his side, explaining bits of his business in Turin. When he noticed the young man would only reply with \u201cOh\u201d and \u201cUm,\u201d Akkad frowned. He turned to him.<\/p>

His lovely student was sending texts on his phone!<\/p>

Smiling so happily…<\/p>

Of course, who else could be on the other side?!!!<\/p>

Akkad, the single dog who had received a second blow: \u201c…\u201d<\/p>

You\u2019ve only parted for a few hours, can you control yourself a little!!!<\/em><\/p>

After returning to Paris, Qi Mu and Professor Akkad headed back to the college and cleaned up the violin room.<\/p>

Farrell had said Akkad wouldn\u2019t be back for another three days, but he returned two days earlier. The following night was the opening ceremony for the start of the new semester, and he didn\u2019t want to miss it.<\/p>

A lot of instructors didn\u2019t have a consistent class schedule. During the holiday period, Dylan spent all his time in the piano room, attending classes. He didn\u2019t know what the word \u201cvacation\u201d meant.<\/p>

Qi Mu was the same, he went to Vienna with Akkad during the semester, then to Dresden with Farrell during summer break.<\/p>

But, Akkad was an official professor at the university. He should lead by example and follow the academy\u2019s regulations, which was why he went straight to Berlin to pick up his student after his business in Turin.<\/p>

It was no wonder Qi Mu forgot the opening ceremony when his mentor had such an inconsistent class schedule.<\/p>

When Qi Mu finished cleaning up, he was about to pick up his violin case and luggage when Akkad called, \u201cLittle Seven, those are heavy. Can you carry them all?\u201d<\/p>

Qi Mu answered, \u201cI can, professor. My place is nearby, did you forget?\u201d<\/p>

Akkad nodded then added, \u201cIt\u2019s a bit late now. Just leave your violin in my safe. You can pick it up in the morning.\u201d<\/p>

Qi Mu thought about it then agreed.<\/p>

He handed his violin over to the professor. While locking up the safe, the old man asked, \u201cOh yes, Seven… Evra mentioned when you cooperated with the Vienna Symphony Orchestra, you used an excellent violin, right? Why haven\u2019t you been using it since?\u201d<\/p>

Confirming that the safe was completely locked, Akkad turned to look carefully at his student. \u201cSeven, that\u2019s no good. No matter how good a violin is, if it\u2019s not played, it\u2019s not a violin. It\u2019s just an item in a collection that looks like a violin. Qi Mu shook his head. \u201cThank you for your kindness, professor. I know how to deal with the matter.\u201d Pausing, he raised an eyebrow. \u201cBut professor… Do you think I\u2019m not capable of it?\u201d<\/p>

\u201cOkay, fine, fine, that\u2019s your violin anyway! Just remember to bring it and show it to me later!\u201d Akkad muttered a few incomprehensible words to himself. He didn\u2019t ask anything else about the violin.<\/p>

Looking up at the bright moon, Qi Mu\u2019s lips lifted into a faint smile.<\/p>
