\u201cToday we\u2019re visiting our family\u2019s ancestral graves, and we\u2019re also visiting Yin Yan\u2019s paternal grandfather\u2019s comrades-in-arms. Yu Zhen nodded and noted that Grandpa Yin, like his own grandfather, sounded like a very interesting individual.<\/span><\/p>

Grandpa Yin was buried in a joint grave1<\/sup>\u00a0with his wife, and the surrounding graves belonged to other Yin ancestors. The graves were all clustered together, giving off a sense of a reunion.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>

Because there was no need to burn money for the deceased, the tomb-sweeping process became very simple. They delivered the flowers, swept the area around the tomb, and said some words to the tombstones. Yu Zhen sighed with a heavy heart as he witnessed the scene.<\/span><\/p>

When they left the martyr\u2019s cemetery, everyone was silent. Absent-mindedly, Yu Zhen almost bumped into an old man, but Yin Yan reacted quickly. He pulled Yu Zhen close to him and nodded in apology to the old man. Then he held Yu Zhen\u2019s hand and led him away.<\/span><\/p>

Yu Zhen\u2019s mind snapped back to reality. Though confused and annoyed at himself for his sudden lack of focus, he turned his head and nodded to the old man in apology. Not wanting to become distracted again, he closely followed Yin Yan.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>

\u201cGrandpa, why did you deliberately try to walk into that man? We\u2019re Taoists. We don\u2019t do things like \u2018porcelain bumping\u2019* to extort strangers. The Great Founders will strike you with lightning in your dreams tonight.\u201d<\/span><\/p>

A delicate and handsome young man supported the old man who grumbled to himself.<\/span><\/p>

If you\u2019re not careful, I\u2019ll send you packing back home!\u201d The white-haired man exclaimed indignantly and gave the young man the stink eye before having another look at Yu Zhen and Yin Yan. I don\u2019t know what that kid has done but he has very concentrated amounts of merits on him – he looks like a golden doll. But there\u2019s something off about it… \u201d<\/span><\/p>

\u201cGolden glow of merits?\u201d The young man\u2019s eyes lit up and excitedly looked over in Yu Zhen\u2019s direction. He stared and asked, \u201cWhere? Where\u2019s the golden glow? I don\u2019t see anything?\u201d<\/span><\/p>

The old man grumpily pulled him back by the collar, \u201cWhat can you see with your eyes?! You\u2019re both roughly the same age but look at his state and look at your own. “What is this?” Yu Zhen eyed the string suspiciously.<\/span><\/p>

Yin Yan replied calmly, “<\/span>Dog Leash<\/span>.”<\/span><\/p>

\u201c???\u201d<\/span><\/p>

Yu Zhen was speechless. He fixed his eyes on Yin Yan and condemned him silently.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>

“It’s a spiritual item for tracking. The man who refined it named it \u201cDog Leash\u201d.” Yin Yan explained. He magically produced another red thread and wrapped it around his own wrist and showed it to Yu Zhen.<\/span><\/p>

Great, now we\u2019re both dogs.<\/span><\/i><\/p>

Yu Zhen looked back at the red thread on his wrist. He took a moment to convince himself to accept the name and asked, \u201cWho refined this spiritual item? Why would they give it such a name? Was it you…?\u201d<\/span><\/p>

\u201cNo,\u201d Yin Yan replied. He gently poked Yu Zhen\u2019s forehead and continued, \u201cIt was…my disciple who refined it. He really liked this name.\u201d<\/span><\/p>

Yu Zhen was stunned. Feeling a sourness in his heart, he asked, \u201cDisciple? You had a disciple?\u201d<\/span><\/p>

Yin Yan didn\u2019t reply. He patted Yu Zhen’s head then walked away.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>

Yu Zhen frowned and watched Yin Yan leave. He glanced at the red thread on his wrist, then tugged his sleeve down to cover it. He huffed, \u201cWhat a lousy disciple!
